Patti’s & Cream is a diner and scoop shop located in Dunedin, offering handmade small batch ice cream and American style burgers.
We worked together to create packaging design for the ice cream tubs which focused on illustration characters that are ingredients of each flavour.
For the diner location I designed paper menus drawing inspiration from classic diner aesthetics. This was achieved by creating a structured layout for easy readability, which ensures the large menu is a breeze to navigate. With the addition of geometric shapes, jokes and illustrations keeping the overall look family friendly and welcoming.
Furthermore, I had the pleasure of collaborating with Derek Lester's signage team to create versatile menu boards for both Patti’s & Cream locations. These boards seamlessly accommodate seasonal ice cream flavours while maintaining a fun and intuitive design. Through the clever use of a magnetic system for flavour interchangeability and illustration icons, we've crafted menus that effortlessly guide customers through their ordering.
